Dear Liberty Perry Families,
I want to take a moment to address a situation that has come to our attention involving rumors circulating on social media platforms, particularly TikTok and Snapchat, about potential violence in schools across the country over the past couple of days and weeks. Please rest assured that, at this time, no specific threats have been made against any of our schools. However, we are diligently monitoring the situation to ensure the continued safety of our students and staff.
This is a good opportunity to remind our community about the importance of having conversations with your children regarding the dangers and serious consequences of sharing inappropriate or threatening content online. The spread of false information can cause unnecessary fear, disrupt our school environment, and potentially lead to legal and disciplinary actions.
Our students' safety is, and will always be, our top priority. We strongly believe in the power of our community to recognize potential harm and act swiftly to prevent it. If you or your child sees or hears anything concerning, we urge you to speak up and make your school's leaders aware. By working together, we can ensure that Liberty Perry remains a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for all students.
Thank you for your ongoing support and trust in us.
Sincerely,
Aaron Black
Superintendent, Liberty Perry School Corporation

Good Afternoon,
I want to make you aware that the administration was made aware of a threatening message this afternoon that listed a number of Delaware County Schools. Local law enforcement have been investigating this threat and at this time it is being considered very vague and unsubstantiated. At this time Liberty Perry will conduct school business as usual and remain vigilant to any potential threats. The safety of our students remains our number 1 priority and we will continue to make decisions based on credible information and the direction of our local law enforcement officials.
Aaron Black
Superintendent
Liberty Perry School Corporation.
