COVID-19 Protocol Update

February 9, 2022

Liberty-Perry Families,

Last evening the LPS school board updated the COVID-19 protocols. As a result of this update, the school district will no longer quarantine close contacts AT SCHOOL unless a close contact becomes symptomatic. Another significant change is the reduction of the number of days someone that has COVID-19 or lives with someone that has COVID-19 has to quarantine. Should someone happen to be in one of these situations they can return to school on day 6 as long as their symptoms are improving. It is recommended on days 6-10 the person wears a mask. For everyone's safety, it continues to be important to:

  • Stay at home if you are sick

  • Stay at home if you are in the midst of being tested for COVID-19

  • Stay at home if a member of your household is in the midst of being tested for COVID-19.

Self-screening each morning and communicating with our school nurses will continue to be critical in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in the school setting.
