Selma Elementary Virtual Learning Plan
Schoolwide Virtual Learning - December 14 - 18, 2020
Teachers will be available from 8-3 to answer questions. Please reach out if you require any assistance. Live instruction will be provided through Canvas Conferences for grades K-3 and through Google Meet for grades 4-5 following the schedule below. Teachers will begin their conferences on time and use as much time as needed for each specific day. Teachers have discretion on how long they need live conferences in each subject. All Canvas Conferences and Google Meet sessions will be recorded and posted into Canvas for students who need to access them later in the day. However, students are expected to attend live conferences and will get their best instruction during this time. It will also give them a chance to connect with their teacher and peers. Our goal is 100% conference participation.
All student work for the day will be uploaded into Canvas each morning prior to 9:00 a.m.

Mrs. Mikel, Mrs. Slaven, Mr. Cole and Mr. Craycraft will communicate their specific times with the students that they see. Students should check their Canvas messages for this information.
For attendance purposes, students will be counted present if they join the Canvas Conference or Google Meet session, communicate with their teacher, and/or complete their work prior to 8:00 a.m. on the following day that it is assigned. School is still in session for students - it is just a virtual platform rather than being in-person. All work that is not complete by 8:00 a.m. the following day will count as zero credit.
Meals can be picked up at Selma Elementary School on Tuesday, December 15 and Thursday, December 17 between 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Door 1.
This is our first time to go virtual at SES this school year. We are ready to make this a positive learning experience and to make sure your child continues to move forward in his/her learning. We will need your help in keeping your child motivated and connected. Please communicate with your child’s teachers if you have any questions or need any support. They will be here to help. At this time, we plan for all students to return to in-person school on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
