Kendyl-Signing

On January 19th, Wapahani track and field star Kendyl Thrasher signed her letter of intent to continue her athletic and academic career at Ball State University. She is the third female athlete at Wapahani to sign to Ball State this year for athletics. 

Kendyl chose Ball State as it is close to home and she loves the atmosphere of the campus. She is looking forward to collegiate athletics and focusing solely on running.While at Ball State Kendly plans to pursue a degree in dietetics.

Kendyl has earned an abundance of accomplishments in her high school career in both cross country and track  Her accomplishments include:

  • Two-time semi-state qualifier in cross country

  • Four-time regional qualifier in cross country

  • Four-time First Team MEC All-Conference in cross country

  • Four-time First Team Delaware All-County in cross country

  • 5k School Record Holder with a time of 19:38

  • First-Team Academic All State in cross country and track

  • Two-time regional qualifier in track

  • Indoor and Outdoor 3200 Meter Run School Record Holder

Regarding Kendyl’s signing to Ball State, her Coach Bo Stevenson has some very kind words “All the Coaches are very proud to see Kendyl succeed so much here at Wapahani and we are looking forward to seeing her continue her running career at Ball State.”
