On November 29th Camyrn Wise scored her 1000th career point in a win over conference foe Blue River. Coming into the night Wise was 7 points shy of the mark. Late in the first quarter, Wise drained a 3 from the left wing making her the 5th Lady Raider to achieve the 1000 point milestone.
Scoring 1000 points in one sport is a remarkable feat in itself, but Wise was also able to achieve over 1000 kills in her volleyball career. Making her the only person in school history to have both of those credentials. Wapahani girls basketball coach Scott Hudson had this to say about Wise “"She's got a fire in her that she doesn't want to lose and she wants to be the best and get to be the best on the floor and not back down.” Wise also thanks her teammates for being the player that she has become today.
Wise has signed to play volleyball at the collegiate level next season at Ball State. Currently the girls basketball team is 8-1 and faces Frankton at home on Tuesday.
